5 key differences between Basic & Premium

I often get asked about the differences between the Basic and Premium versions of EduKit Insight. With Basic providing so much for free, how does the Premium version compare? So, I've put together this quick guide to explain the key differences. 


1. Set up is easier

EduKit Insight Basic requires you to upload a file of student names. But don’t worry - we provide you with easy-to-follow instructions to help you get started.

EduKit Insight Premium easily connects to your schools’ MIS system. This means you don’t need to re-upload data as EduKit Insight Premium updates your information automatically every night, saving you time.


2. Analysis is more in depth

With EduKit Insight Basic you are able to see how many students have been deemed high risk based on their wellbeing responses. With EduKit Insight Premium you are able to see which students have been classified as high risk.

Also, EduKit Insight Premium automatically benchmarks, with colour codes, every student against their year group as well as benchmarking your school against the hundreds of schools using the Insight nationwide.

This allows you to see you school's results in a national context - enabling you to make more informed decisions about priority areas.


3. Cohort Creation is more powerful

EduKit Insight Basic allows you to add year group, gender and Pupil Premium information so you can undertake basic analysis of your results.  

However, with EduKit Insight Premium, you are able to create cohorts of students based on their wellbeing results and you can slice and dice data by ethnicity, SEN code, achievement, behaviour points, EAL, attendance and much more.


4. Progress is more evident

EduKit Insight Basic allows you to take a snapshot of wellbeing and to log your interventions for that academic year. Premium enables you to compare progress at a whole school and individual level over time

With Premium, you can also track wellbeing and intervention effectiveness over time and create case studies, showcasing individual students who can stand as examples of your progress. Students get new profile pages every year, but with Premium you can easily see how a student has progressed and all interventions logged against them over time.

5. Support is more personalised

With EduKit Insight Basic you have email support within 48 hours whereas Premium comes with immediate over the phone support between 8:30am - 6:00pm.


So in summary, both Basic and Premium are great, easy-to-use tools to help you make sense of student wellbeing at your school.
